What is the Derbyshire Matchmaker Challenge?

Derbyshire Community Foundation has been set the challenge of raising £975,500 in endowed funds.

Every £1 of this target that we raise before March 2011 will be matched £1 for £1 with a donation from the government.

To ensure that these funds are not lost,

we need your help and we need it now!

You might be:

• A business working to develop stronger links with your local community and employees.
  
• An individual who wants to channel their charitable giving into Derbyshire by establishing a named fund
• A family seeking a fitting memorial that celebrates the life of a loved one and makes a real and ongoing difference to people in Derbyshire.

Fundraising ideas

The Great North Run takes place on 20th September 2009, and ballot entries have now closed. If you have secured a place, why not run in aid of Derbyshire Community Foundation, and benefit people in your own county? Any monies raised will be eligible to be doubled and will be invested in our endowment to support community groups for many years to come.

Parachute for FREE!

We are looking for adventurous volunteers to make a fundraising parachute jump for Derbyshire Community Foundation - and if you raise enough sponsorship you get to jump for free! The minimum sponsorship required for a free jump is £360 per person (depending on the type of jump you choose) and no experience is neccessary as full training will be given.
